Companies selling through marketplaces lose the most time on copying orders into their accounting system by hand. Dozens of orders arrive during the day, an invoice is written for each, and then stock levels are corrected separately.
What the integration changes
Once the connector is configured, the process runs like this:
- the moment an order is created on the platform, FinOps receives it;
- the product code is matched and stock is written off the warehouse;
- the sales invoice is generated automatically;
- when payment arrives, the finance operation is posted to the account.
Catalogue mapping
The key preparation step is catalogue mapping: the product code on the platform has to be linked to the product record in FinOps. We do this during onboarding and verify it with a test order.
Outcome
Manual order entry disappears, stock levels stay accurate in real time, and the sales report is ready by the end of the day on its own.
